When working with BCK, we’ll often send you a shared file or folder to make it easy to exchange important documents, images, or content. You can access and share these files in just a few simple steps.
Getting Started with Shared Files from BCK
Before we dive into the steps, here are a few common questions we often get from clients.
Do I need a Google Drive account to access the files?
You do not need to sign up for Google Drive separately. If you already have a Google account (such as Gmail), you already have Google Drive. You can open the link we send and sign in with that account.
If you do not use Gmail, we can still share the file with the email address you use for your business. In that case, you may be asked to create a free Google account tied to that email to open the file. This takes only a few minutes.
Will I need to install anything?
No software or downloads are required. Everything works in your regular web browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox).
Can I use my phone or tablet?
Yes. You can open shared links on mobile devices. If you prefer, you can also download the free Google Drive app from the App Store or Google Play to make it easier to upload photos or documents directly from your phone.
Is it secure?
Yes. Only the email address that we share the file with will be able to open it. Your files remain private to you and BCK.
How to Access the File BCK Shared with You
There are three main ways you can open the files we share:
From Your Email
- When BCK shares a file, you’ll receive an email with a link.
- Simply click the link in the email, and the file will open in your web browser.
- Make sure you’re signed in with the same Google account that the file was shared with.
From the BCK Business Manager
- Log in to your BCK Business Manager.
- On the dashboard for your business, scroll to the section “Share a File” and click “Access Drive”.
- You’ll see a list of documents we’ve shared with you, which you can open with one click.
Directly in Google Drive
- Open Google Drive in your browser.
- Sign in with the Google account where BCK shared the file.
- Look under “Shared with me” on the left side menu.
- You’ll see the file or folder that BCK added. Click to open.
How to Share Documents with BCK
When BCK shares a folder with you, it becomes your main place to send us files. You do not need to create anything new. All you need to do is add your files to the shared folder we sent.
Here is how to do it:
- Open the shared folder using the link from your email, your BCK Business Manager, or directly in Google Drive under “Shared with me.”
- Once the folder is open, drag and drop files from your computer into the folder window.
- On most computers, you can click and hold a file, drag it over the browser window, and release it inside the folder.
- You can also click the “+ New” button in Google Drive and choose File upload if you prefer.
- Your files will automatically save into the folder, and BCK will instantly have access to them!
This makes it easy to send us content without worrying about email attachments or file sizes. Simply place your files into the folder and we will take it from there.
What to Share with BCK for Maximum Benefit
The more resources we have, the better we can serve you. Here are some helpful things to share with us:
- Logos and Branding – High-quality versions of your logo, brand colors, and fonts.
- Photos and Videos – Product shots, team photos, or anything that tells your brand story.
- Content – Text for your website pages, blog posts, or product descriptions.
- Documents – Brochures, flyers, or past marketing materials we can reference.
- Access Info – If needed, login credentials for platforms you’d like us to manage (shared securely).
By sharing these items, you give us the tools to create a website and online presence that truly represents your business.
✅ Tip: If you’re ever unsure what to share, start with images, logos, and any text you already have. We’ll guide you from there.
